α55 Speed Single Lens

The campaign for the α55 highlighted the camera’s top shutter speed of around 10 frames a second. Using the tag line “Speed Single Lens”, the camera was depicted capturing every moment of children jumping around and playing. In addition to TV commercials, an event for parents and children titled “Hajikero! Kid Jumpers!” (“Bounce! Kid Jumpers!”) was held in three cities across Japan, demonstrating how the camera’s quick shutter speed could follow even the fastest movements.
